When former President Donald Trump’s supporters drive to Tuesday’s Doral rally, some of them will see billboards linking him to the Heritage Foundation’s Project 2025 Presidential Transition Project, a nearly-900-page conservative policy and personnel guide to retaking the White House.

Democrats and Joe Biden’s reelection campaign have been working to connect Trump to the conservative manifesto especially hard in recent days, highlighting what they say are extreme positions. One example of how Project 2025 plans to approach governing is by declaring that abortions “are not health care” and tasking the Food and Drug Administration with reversing approval of the abortion medication mifepristone, approved by the FDA in 2000 and used in most abortions nationwide.

Efforts to tie Trump to Project 2025 escalated after Heritage Foundation President Kevin Roberts said on July 2 “that we are in the process of the second American Revolution, which will remain bloodless if the left allows it to be.” Roberts made the comments on Steve Bannon’s War Room podcast by Real America’s Voice.

Paul Dans, the director of Project 2025, served in the Trump Administration and staffed about 4,000 presidential appointees across the federal government. But Trump’s campaign distanced him from the controversial conservative policy agenda in a statement on Tuesday.

“Agenda 47 and President Trump’s RNC Platform are the only policies endorsed by President Trump for a second term. Team Biden and the DNC are LYING and fear-mongering because they have NOTHING else to offer the American people,” Danielle Alvarez, a senior adviser to the campaign, said in a statement. “Remember this is the same group that lied to American’s [sic] and hid Joe Biden’s cognitive decline all these years.”

Five digital billboards were erected by the Democratic National Committee Tuesday morning, according to the DNC, and should remain live for 24 hours.

“Ahead of Donald Trump’s and MAGA Republicans’ convention next week to push an extreme, anti-choice and anti-democracy agenda, the DNC is taking the fight to Trump’s doorstep with a new fleet of billboards showing the true danger of Trump’s second-term playbook: Project 2025,” said Democratic National Committee spokesperson Abhi Rahman in a statement.

Rahman continued: “Donald Trump is the reason why Floridians now have fewer rights after his handpicked Supreme Court justices overturned Roe v. Wade. Floridians, along with all Americans, will have even less rights if he takes back the White House.”

The billboards feature black and white closeups of Trump’s face and describe Project 2025 as his “blueprint for revenge and retribution” and his “plan to be a dictator on day 1.”

The billboards are displayed on the west side of Interstate 95 on Hollywood Boulevard and at the Westbound entrance of Palmetto Expressway, the exit many people will take to get to the rally.

On Heritage’s website, it states about Project 2025: “It is not enough for conservatives to win elections. If we are going to rescue the country from the grip of the radical Left, we need both a governing agenda and the right people in place, ready to carry this agenda out on Day One of the next conservative Administration.

“This is the goal of the 2025 Presidential Transition Project. The project will build on four pillars that will, collectively, pave the way for an effective conservative Administration: a policy agenda, personnel, training, and a 180-day playbook”
